Big word here ... MIGHT. As an adult adoptee, though I do long to know more information about my birth parents, it doesn't detract from the way I feel about my adoptive parents. I, personally, feel grateful and love them very much. I think it's all about how you approach and define it to your child(ren). My parents were honest with me from a young age. I have had time to ingest what adopted means. I know they made a selfless decision (as did my birth mother) and that my quality of life is better as a result. I read your post in the adopted tribe and I think what you are doing is honorable. I wish you the best!!
